The kit features the pattern and fabric from the Pieceful Pines collection by Marcus Fabrics and designed by Pam Buda. According to Pam she was inspired to design this quilt, and the pine tree blocks, during a trip to Black Hills Forest. Pam states Christmas is her favorite holiday, but is not one to collection Christmas prints. Instead she creates holiday quilts using the historic reproduction fabrics in the colors of the season. The center block may look difficult, but is broken down into an easy to piece format. It was a perfect fit with the pine trees and Christmas wreath, giving a cozy feeling, all the while making a very striking color splash.
